We broke off into small groups and worked on finding apps applicable to our subject areas. Erica worked with Rich and Cory and showed them ipad basics and helped them download some starter apps.
Today we spent half the time sharing apps we had discovered over the last month (show me, flow of history, your words, Scan me, typing program for Chrome book). The other half of the time we spent in small groups exploring the apps that were interesting to us.
We set up the EAs with some ipads and went over how to use them. Then we discussed the apps imovie, sock puppets, autorap and show me. We decided that everyone will present an app next meeting.
The group hopes to develop a clear understanding of how ipads and chrome books will work in education. The current plan is to find and experiment with various apps and then present the results to the group. The group will use pinterest to share apps with each other and teachers in other schools.
